Dr. Kapil Kochhar

Dr Kapil Kochhar is a leading Minimal Access Surgeon (MAS) and Bariatric Surgeon from India with 27 years of surgical experience and more than 10,000 Laparoscopic Surgeries alone to his credit in India and abroad. Having graduated from the prestigious Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi in 1990, he has worked with top hospitals in the country both in the private and public sectors. He did his post- graduation in General Surgery from Maulana Azad Medical College only. Dr Kochhar has been a pioneer in introducing Laparoscopic Surgery to even the remotest areas of north India. He travelled extensively to various small cities in Bihar, Rajasthan, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Jammu & Kashmir and even Manipur to impart Laparoscopic Training to numerous young Surgeons and Gynaecologists. Not only in India, but he has also extended his sphere of work to many other countries. He was instrumental in the introduction of Laparoscopic Surgery in Afghanistan. He has conducted regular clinics in Nigeria, Malawi and Ghana, all in the African continent.
